expression web help - about this site.

expression web help, is my extended playground. It serves as a directory of all things related to expression web and the content includes, expression web templates, expression web tutorials and expression web help, to name a few.

Why an extended playground?

My main site is www.expression-web-designer-help.com where all the expression web content is free of charge.

However this site has been created to use some of the dynamic features included with expression web. The whole site is created using XML, access databases and ASP.Net v2 master pages and controls.

My aim is to create a dynamic web site that is easy to add to, easy to update and allows me to tinker with ideas that will ultimately end up as a tutorial.

Feedback

This web site is my playground only, there is no opportunity for feedback, questions or comments. You may do this at www.expression-web-designer-help.com/forum where i will be delighted to discuss any of the topics found here that interest you.

Who am i?

I am no different from you. I look at web site design from a point and click perspective. However, i really enjoy the art of experiment! I spend hours (too many hours) looking at how things might be done. Shopping carts for instance. It is quite easy to build a basic shopping cart in expression web, that hooks up to PayPal. I have also had some fun playing with searchable pets database, ad rotator controls, displaying pictures from a database and so much more.

Much of what you see here will be experiments in progress and may never be visited again. Some stuff i will visit occasionally to continue my experiments and anything of interest i will make available.

Why charge?

Some of the tutorials found here are paid for content. I have purposefully kept the prices very low! My only aim is to cover my bandwidth costs.

I have learnt through experience that offering free content like the tutorials found on www.expression-web-designer-help.com costs me money. I currently pay £200/month on average for the bandwidth charges at the above site! This is quite a lot but a true reflection of the success of our original expression web tutorials. Through the new site, i will offer version 2 of our original tutorials. An hour long tutorial will cost you no more than £5 - i hope you too think this to be excellent value for money. If you don't, i have a refund policy in operation.

Hopefully, you will now have a better understanding of what his site is about. Its my playground but if you benefit from it in someway, i am delighted.

Thanks for dropping by.
